through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace.”
Ephesians 1:8 NIV
“I Believe”
New Devotional Booklet: by Roy Lessin
“Confessing The Truths Your Heart Believes…
I Believe… in Redemption!
I Believe… Jesus is my Redeemer!
And He has Redeemed me through His shed blood.
His Redemption means that He has bought me at a great price!
The highest price that could be paid for my ransom!
I Believe…that His ransom…
Means that I am no longer in bondage to satan…
Stuck in a horrible pit of despair…
Or a slave to sin…
I Believe… that my Redemption means that I am no longer my own…
And that my purpose it to serve Jesus…
And glorify Him!
Not unwillingly…
But from the heart…
As His bond servant…
I count it a privilege to serve Him for love’s sake…
I Believe… His ownership of my life…
Brings me great comfort…
Deep peace…
And overflowing joy!”
REDEEMED?
REJOICE!!!

I lie here paralytic, inside this soul…
Screaming for You till my throat is numb…
I wanna break out…
I need a way out…
I don’t believe that it’s gotta be this way…
The worst is the waiting…
In this womb I’m suffocating…
Feel Your presence filling up my lungs with oxygen…
I take You in…
I’ve died…
Rebirthing Now…
I wanna live for love…
Wanna live for You and me…
Breathe!
For the first time now I come alive somehow…
Rebirthing Now…
I wanna live my life…
Wanna give You everything…
Breathe!
For the first time now I come alive somehow…
Right now! Right now!
I lie here lifeless in this cocoon…
Shedding my skin…
‘Cause I’m ready to…
I wanna break out…
I found a way out…
I don’t believe that it’s gotta be this way…
The worst is the waiting…
In this womb I’m suffocating…
Feel your presence filling up my lungs with oxygen I take you in…
I’ve died…
Rebirthing Now…
I wanna live for love…
Wanna live for You and me…
Breathe!
For the first time now I come alive somehow…
Rebirthing Now!
I wanna live my life…
Wanna give You everything
Breathe!
For the first time now I come alive somehow…
Tell me when I’m gonna live again!
Tell me when I’m gonna breathe You in!
Tell me when I’m gonna feel inside!
Tell me when I’m gonna feel alive!
Tell me when I’m gonna live again…
Tell me when this fear will end…
Tell me when I’m gonna feel inside…
Tell me when I’ll feel alive…
Rebirthing Now…
I wanna live for love…
Wanna live for You and me…
Breathe!
For the first time now I come alive somehow…
Rebirthing Now…
I wanna live my life…
Wanna give You everything…
Breathe!
For the first time now I come alive somehow…
Right Now! (I come alive somehow!)

Yipee!! We’re free!
Freedom in Christ…
It’s a free gift!!
Take it!
Jesus is your power source!!
Hey Kids!
Our Kids Church is called “Kidtricity!”
Here’s one of our object lessons…
“Plug In To The Right Power Source”
From: http://www.calledtokids.com July 19, 2010 by Marla Filed under God’s Power, Holy Spirit
“‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
Zechariah 4:6 (NIV)
Props needed for this object lesson:
A variety of electrical/battery operated items,
and power supplies (cell phone charger, batteries, extension cords, etc.)
Lesson: I brought several items with me today to help demonstrate God’s power.
Let’s see…
I have a flashlight, a fan and a cell phone.
None of these things can operate by itself;
all of these items require power to work.
And we all need power and strength to do what God has called us to do.
He has called us to do great things in life…
but, we will never do those things without power.
So let’s see if I can get these items to operate.
(Attempt to plug cell phone charger into flashlight, then turn the switch to “on.”)
Something’s wrong.
The flashlight isn’t working.
I plugged it in, but I still can’t get it to turn on.
Well, let me try the fan.
(Put batteries on top of the fan and turn on switch).
I don’t understand.
I put the batteries on the fan,
and it’s still not working.
The flashlight isn’t working and the fan isn’t working,
so maybe I can get the cell phone to work.
(Attempt to plug the cell phone into the extension cord).
Nothing seems to be working for me today!
What am I doing wrong?
(Allow kids to respond).
Oh, did I get things a little mixed up?
(Rearrange the items and plug them into their correct power sources).
Now things seem to be working!
Everyone is created to do a special work for the Lord.
Work requires power and strength.
The problem is,
many people try to rely on their own power.
They think they can do the work themselves.
That’s like plugging in the cell phone to this extension cord.
If you’re working in your own power,
you’re tapped into the wrong power source.
Your power won’t get you very far.
God’s power working through you will get the work done.
When you trust in Him,
you’ll work just like these items
when they have the right power source.
Remember to work in the strength of God’s Spirit.
Kids!
Connect to the right power source!
God’s got all the power!
He’ll flip the switch…
And leave the dark behind…
So light up and let it shine!
You’re in the dawn of your finest hour…
So get wired to the highest power
He gets the praise…
He owns the show
Walk in His footsteps…
For a brighter day…
Follow His Word…
He lights your way!
Lift up His banner…
Raise it high…
Light up the sky!
Just be the conduit…
And give Him all the glory!
Amen!!
Like Today!!
Lunch with my husband and two other couples…
A walk in the park…
Along the Peace River…
Cool, crisp, sun-shiny day…
It doesnt get better than this!!

and came toward Jesus.”

I love this song!
It’s about our God, His Son Jesus, and His Holy Spirit…
Taking over our lives…
And being allowed to take over our “show!”
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God.”
Romans 8:14 KJV
What we really need is You, Lord!
You’ve got something to say…
Go on and take it away!
I’m hyped that You showed up tonight!
I’m anticipating…
And craving something more than smoke and lights…
I’ll step out the way…
I’ll give You center stage…
The spotlight’s on You, Lord!
I need You to steal my show…
I can’t wait to watch You go…
So take it away…
When You arrive…
We come to life…
Our hearts collide…
They’re beating in the same time…
You’re coming through…
All eyes on You…
No matter who we are…
No matter what we do…
Every day we can choose!!!
To say…
When You wanna steal my show…
I’ll sit back and watch You go…
My life!
My pride!
My heart!
It’s all Yours now…
Take it away…
My fame!
My feet!
My family, my career
Take it away…
It’s all Yours now…
So take it away…
It’s You I wanna live for!!
My sentiments, exactly!!
We’re all different, but we’re all beautiful!
“The desert and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
…they will see the glory of the Lord,
the splendor of our God.”
Isaiah 35:1-2 NIV
“…Who knows but that you were brought to the kingdom for a time like this?”
Esther 4:14 ISV
“But in fact God has placed the parts in the body,
every one of them, just as He wanted them to be.”
1 Corinthians 12:18 NIV
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in Him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV
“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.”

that our Lord is greater than all gods.
The Lord does whatever pleases Him,
in the heavens and on the earth,
in the seas and all their depths.”
Psalm 135:5-6 NIV
“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
planted in the house of the Lord,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
proclaiming, ‘The Lord is upright;
He is my Rock…'”
Psalm 92:12-15 NIV
“Nevertheless,
each person should live as a believer
in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them,
just as God has called them…”
1 Corinthians 7:17 NIV
“There are different kinds of gifts,
but the same Spirit distributes them.
There are different kinds of service,
but the same Lord.
There are different kinds of working,
but in all of them and in everyone
it is the same God at work.”
1 Corinthians 12:4 NIV
“All these are the work of one and the same Spirit,
and He distributes them to each one,
just as He determines.”
1 Corinthians 12:11 NIV
“Just as a body, though one,
has many parts,
but all its many parts form one body,
so it is with Christ.
For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body
—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—
and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.”
1 Corinthians 12: 12-14 NIV
“Now you are the body of Christ,
and each one of you is a part of it.”
1 Corinthians 12: 27 NIV
“And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
since as members of one body you were called to peace.
And be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach
and admonish one another with all wisdom,
and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs
with gratitude in your hearts to God.”
Colossians 3:14-16 NIV

In this Special Edition issue article,
She shares “Power Thoughts” from Scripture…
To encourage you to bring your thinking into agreement with God,

Here are three “Power Thoughts” she mentions:
Power Thought #1:
God Loves Me Unconditionally!
Psalm 139:14
We are “…fearfully and wonderfully made.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
the new creation has come:
The old has gone,
the new is here.”
Power Thought #2:
I will Not Live In Fear!
“This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice
and be glad in it.”
Psalm 118:24
Each morning, she says to herself,
“I will enjoy this day
and I will not live in fear.”
Power Thought #3:
I Am Difficult To Offend

is better than the mighty,
and he who rules his spirit
than he who takes a city.”
