Holy Spirit, You Can Steal My Show!

I love this song!

It’s about our God, His Son Jesus, and His Holy Spirit…

Taking over our lives…

And being allowed to take over our “show!”

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,

they are the sons of God.”

Romans 8:14  KJV

What we really need is You, Lord!

You’ve got something to say…

Go on and take it away!

I’m hyped that You showed up tonight!

I’m anticipating…

And craving something more than smoke and lights…

I’ll step out the way…

I’ll give You center stage…

The spotlight’s on You, Lord!

I need You to steal my show…

I can’t wait to watch You go…

So take it away…

When You arrive…

We come to life…

Our hearts collide…

They’re beating in the same time…

You’re coming through…

All eyes on You…

No matter who we are…

No matter what we do…

Every day we can choose!!!

To say…

When You wanna steal my show…

I’ll sit back and watch You go…

My life!

My pride!

My heart!

It’s all Yours now…

Take it away…

My fame!

My feet!

My family, my career

Take it away…

It’s all Yours now…

So take it away…

It’s You I wanna live for!!

My sentiments, exactly!!

has many parts,

but all its many parts form one body,

so it is with Christ.

For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body

and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.”

which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,

since as members of one body you were called to peace.

And be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach

and admonish one another with all wisdom,

and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs

with gratitude in your hearts to God.”

The Battle’s Already Won!

Even the battle for your mind!

I’m not giving up now…

I’m claiming victory!

I’m not giving in now…

The war’s already won!

The struggle’s between God and the devil…

Love against the enemy!

I’m not giving up now…

The war’s already been won for me!!

I just read an article by Joyce Meyer, entitled,

“Are Your Thoughts Powerful or Pitiful?

Taking Battlefield of the Mind to a New Level”

Joyce Meyer Ministries

“Enjoying Everyday Life” Magazine.

In this Special Edition issue article,

She shares “Power Thoughts” from Scripture…

To encourage you to bring your thinking into agreement with God,

So you can enjoy Him…

And His good plan for you.

Here are three “Power Thoughts” she  mentions:

Power Thought #1:

God Loves Me Unconditionally!

Psalm 139:14

We are “…fearfully and wonderfully made.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,

the new creation has come:

The old has gone,

the new is here.”

Power Thought #2:

I will Not Live In Fear!

“This is the day which the Lord hath made;

we will rejoice

and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Each morning, she says to herself,

“I will enjoy this day

and I will not live in fear.”

Power Thought #3:

I Am Difficult To Offend

“Whoever is slow to anger

is better than the mighty,

and he who rules his spirit

than he who takes a city.”

Proverbs 16:32

Win the battle for your mind!!

The war’s already won!

“East To West”

“As far as the east is from the west,

so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

Psalm 103:12

Have you allowed Him to cast your transgressions that far???

“Who is a God like You,

who pardons sin and forgives the transgression

of the remnant of His inheritance?

You do not stay angry forever

but delight to show mercy.

You will again have compassion on us;

You will tread our sins underfoot

and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.”

Micah 7:18-19

Have your iniquities been hurled into the sea of forgetfulness?

This song by Casting Crowns, is so powerful!

Here I am, Lord!

I don’t want to end up where You found me!

In the arms of Your mercy I find rest!

You’re holding on to me…

You know just how far the east is from the west

From one scarred hand to the other!

“This Is The Stuff…”

Oh, Yeah!

This is the stuff!!

That drives me crazy!!

Lord, is this the stuff You really use???

Seems like the end of the world…

Lord, save me…

What’s gettin’ to you lately????

In the middle of your little mess…

And try to remember how BIG you’re blessed!

“Orange” You Glad You Know Jesus!?

Sorry!  Couldn’t resist this title!

Matthew 11:29  NIV

2-18-13 Fruit & Walk 008

“For we do not have

a high priest who is unable

to empathize with our weaknesses,

but we have One

who has been tempted in every way,

just as we are—

yet He did not sin.”

Hebrews 4:15  NIV

Know Jesus!

Bear Fruit!

Walk in the Fruit of the Spirit…

Display the Fruit of  the Spirit to others!

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control…

It’s not easy all the time!

But produce good fruit!

Not rotten fruit!

 Dried up fruit…

Useless fruit…

Or no fruit at all!

Be a juicy piece of fruit!

Big and flavorful!

Don’t Fall For The Counterfeit!!

1-21-13 Walk 009

Beautiful statues!

and does not understand it,

the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.

This is the seed sown along the path.”

Matthew 13:19  NIV

2-14-13 Valentine's Day 010

But nothing like the real thing!

‘Get behind me, Satan!

You are a stumbling block to me;

you do not have in mind the things of God,

but the things of men.'”

Matthew 16:23  NIV

for Satan himself masquerades

as an angel of light.”

to God.

Resist the devil,

and he will flee from you.”

2-14-13 Valentine's Day 023

“The God of peace

will soon crush Satan under your feet.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.”

Romans 16:20  NIV

2-14-13 Valentine's Day 024

“So the great dragon was cast out,

that serpent of old,

called the Devil and Satan,

who deceives the whole world;

he was cast to the earth,

and his angels were cast out with him”

Revelation 12:9  KJV

2-14-13 Valentine's Day 027

“Prove all things, hold fast that which is good”

1 Thessalonians 5:21, KJV

“Satan, who is the god of this world,

has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.

They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News.

They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ,

who is the exact likeness of God.”

2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV

Hold Fast!!

Don’t fall for the counterfeit…

from the father of lies!!

Sitting On The Fence? Ouch!

(I received this photo through e-mail…photographer unknown!)

Who owns this adorable dog???

The people in the brown house?

Or the people on the other side of the fence?

Is this dog coming home?

Or running away?

Who owns you?

Jesus or satan???

Are you coming home?

Or are you running away?

Get off the fence!

Sitting on the fence hurts!

It hurts us, and it hurts others…

Lack of commitment to Jesus holds us back!

We can’t help anyone…

Or disciple people from the fence…

Satan keeps us bound to it!

We can only help others from a position of total freedom…

Of true liberty in Jesus…

From our position at the foot of the Cross!

Are we too complacent to make an effort to get off the fence?

Choose Jesus!

Encourage others to get off the fence, too!

Help them see Jesus’ glorious face…

At the gate ahead in Heaven…

Show them His love in you…

Point them to Heaven…

So they can turn their back on hell!

It’s the right direction to receive abundant blessings…

From our Lord and Savior.

Jump off the fence!

All the way off!

For once and for all!

Into the arms of Jesus!

And stay as far away from the fence as you can!

Stop trying to run away!

And go home!

No Charge For Love!

I just received this e-mail from a friend…

I’ve seen it before…

I don’t know who wrote it…

But it’s worth re-reading!

Let it sink in…

“There’s No Charge For Love!”

Jesus already paid the price…

And Jesus Understands!

Point everyone to Him!

1-23-2013 Outreach 021

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell.

He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups

and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard.

As he was driving the last nail into the post,

he felt a tug on his overalls.

He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.

“Mister,” he said,

“I want to buy one of your puppies.”

“Well,” said the farmer,

as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck,

“These puppies come from fine parents

and cost a good deal of money.”

The boy dropped his head for moment.

Then reaching deep into his pocket,

he pulled out a handful of change

and held it up to the farmer.

“I’ve got thirty-nine cents.

Is that enough to take a look?”

“Sure,” said the farmer.

And with that he let out a whistle.

“Here, Dolly!” he called.

1-23-2013 Outreach 022
Out from the doghouse

and down the ramp ran Dolly

followed by four little balls of fur.

The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence.

His eyes danced with delight.

As the dogs made their way to the fence,

the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.

1-23-2013 Outreach 023
Slowly another little ball appeared,

this one noticeably smaller.

Down the ramp it slid.

Then in a somewhat awkward manner,

the little pup began hobbling toward the others,

doing its best to catch up…

I want that one,”

the little boy said,

pointing to the runt.

The farmer knelt down at the boy’s side and said,

Son, you don’t want that puppy.

He will never be able to run and play with you

like these other dogs would.”

With that, the little boy stepped back from the fence,

reached down,

and began rolling up one leg of his trousers.

In doing so, he revealed a steel brace

running down both sides of his leg

attaching itself to a specially made shoe.

Looking back up at the farmer, he said,

“You see sir,

I don’t run too well myself,

and he will need someone who understands.”

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down

and picked up the little pup.

Holding it carefully,

he handed it to the little boy.

How much?” asked the little boy…

“No charge,” answered the farmer,

There’s no charge for love.”

“But God shows his love for us

in that while we were still sinners,

Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8  ESV

“For we do not have a high priest

who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,

but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are,

yet without sin.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace,

that we may receive mercy

and find grace

to help in time of need.”

Hebrews 4:15-16  ESV

Our salvation cost Christ a great deal…

But when Jesus saw us,

His eyes danced with delight!

Others may have said, “You don’t want that one!”

But, as Jesus looked at the runts we all are…

With complete love,

He said,

“Yes, I want that one!

I understand and sympathize with their weaknesses…

I know they can never afford to repay,

But, there’s never, ever…

A Charge for My Love!”

Oh, Go Ahead…Let Go!

And Let God!

Keep letting go of things…your plans…your way…

and as they fall away, you’ll look more like Jesus every day!

He’s trimming, pruning, chiseling, and fine tuning…

Let Go and Let Him!

Yeah, go ahead, give in!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

and do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

and He will make straight your paths”

Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

“For I know the plans I have for you,

declares the Lord,

plans for welfare and not for evil,

to give you a future and a hope”

Jeremiah 29:11  ESV

“Remember not the former things,

nor consider the things of old.

Behold, I am doing a new thing;

now it springs forth,

do you not perceive it?

I will make a way in the wilderness

and rivers in the desert.”

Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV

“Casting all your anxieties on him,

because He cares for you.”

I Peter 5:7  ESV
