“Chosen”

At The Ramp

“The RAMP is a unique youth and conference center located in the heart of Hamilton, Alabama. It is the home of Chosen, a group of thirty young people who travel with Karen Wheaton and minister in drama and dance, and also home to hundreds of other young people who are being dramatically changed by the power of God.

At least six annual youth conferences (Summer Ramp I & II, Winter Ramp I & II, Spring Breakthrough and Fall Ramp) are greatly anticipated regular events that overflow with more than 1,200 young people. No matter what the occasion, the altars are consistently filled with young people turning their backs on sin, mediocrity, drug addiction, alcoholism, abuse, etc., and surrendering their lives to the Lord.

The RAMP offers today’s generation an alternative to the streets and abuses of the world. Everyone is welcome to come and experience the passion, the fire, and the result of their praise ushering in His awesome presence!”

http://www.youthpastor.com/resource/index.cfm/The_RAMP_Karen_Wheaton_Ministries_10019.htm#.UgKKA20phEI

“The Ramp is a ministry of awakening based out of Hamilton, Alabama, where hundreds gather each month from across the nation and world to pursue the real Jesus. We’re loud. We’re aggressive. We hope to jolt the complacent out of stupor and into the reality of God. Our mission is to awaken a generation out of spiritual death and religious complacency, calling them to their individual purpose and corporate responsibility as an offensive army imposing the kingdom of God. Although youth and young adults primarily attend, the Ramp is not just a youth thing; it’s a hunger thing. It’s an awakening thing – it’s for all those in need of an awakening whose desire is to then turn and awaken others.”

http://theramp.org/about/

“Karen Wheaton is a seasoned Christian minister whose music and preaching has provoked listeners to pursue God in passionate worship for many years.

In 1998 the emphasis of her ministry took a surprising turn as God called her to move back to her hometown of Hamilton, Alabama and to begin working with the youth of the community.

Today, she continues to travel and minister, but her efforts are primarily focused at the Ramp where thousands gather every year to be transformed by the presence of God and equipped to win their cities. Karen has given her life for the vision and mission of awakening. Part of this includes raising up spiritual sons and daughters, weekly teaching students at Ramp School of Ministry and continually developing young men and into the mature believers God has called them to be.”

http://theramp.org/about/karen-wheaton/

“‘Chosen’ is a group of young ministers who have set themselves to awaken a generation. They are the Ramp’s ministry team. They work under and alongside Karen Wheaton as spiritual sons and daughters, serving the heart and assignment of awakening. Whether through expressing in dance and drama, preaching and teaching, ministering, or worshiping, they call their generation to radical lifestyles of holiness and consecration. Each of them have a personal story of deliverance from bondage such as suicide, cutting, drugs, pornography, and complacent Christianity. They are now rescued ones seeking to rescue others.”

“We are a dedicated group reaching people for Jesus Christ.

We put God in the front of this ministry

we are His tools being used to glorify Him.”

“Now Behold the Lamb.

The precious Lamb of God.

Born into sin that I may enter in

The Precious Lamb of God.

We celebrate the precious sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

He came into this world humble

And left as the atonement of sins.

All sins.

Praise be the Name of Jesus Christ.

Forever and ever and ever more!!!!

He is risen from the grave

And set us free from the bondage of sin.

We thank You today, Jesus

For Your perfect sacrifice

You payed a debt that was not Yours.

How thankful am I

A sinner

Saved by Your wonderful mercy and grace.”

Revelation 5:12

“In a loud voice

they were saying:

‘Worthy is the Lamb,

who was slain,

to receive power

and wealth

and wisdom

and strength

and honor

and glory

and praise!'”

Revelation 5: 6-14

“Then I saw a Lamb,

looking as if it had been slain,

standing at the center of the throne,

encircled by the four living creatures and the elders.

The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes,

which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

He went and took the scroll from the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

And when He had taken it,

the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders

fell down before the Lamb.

Each one had a harp

and they were holding golden bowls full of incense,

which are the prayers of God’s people.

And they sang a new song, saying:

‘You are worthy to take the scroll

and to open its seals,

because You were slain,

and with Your blood You purchased for God

persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.

You have made them to be a kingdom

and priests to serve our God,

and they will reign on the earth.’

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels,

numbering thousands upon thousands,

and ten thousand times ten thousand.

They encircled the throne

and the living creatures and the elders.

In a loud voice they were saying:

‘Worthy is the Lamb,

who was slain,

to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength

and honor and glory and praise!’

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea,

and all that is in them, saying:

‘To Him who sits on the throne

and to the Lamb

be praise and honor and glory and power,

for ever and ever!’

The four living creatures said,

‘Amen,’

and the elders fell down and worshiped.”

Precious Lamb Of God…You Are Worthy!!

I’m Gonna Love You Through It!

Standard

When I first heard this powerful song…

I heard Jesus saying these words…

“I’m Gonna Love You Through It!”

“It”

Being, anything that life throws at me!

Then, I heard…

“And I will send you angels…

Those in Heaven…

And those dressed in flesh…

To support you…

Help you…

And love you through life’s rough spots!”

Cancer…

Affects us all…

Those who’ve experienced it…

And those of us who have loved those who have…

My prayers are with you and your families!

May God always love us through it…

And bless us with people who will go through it with us!

To those who have survived…

I celebrate your life!!

She dropped the phone and burst into tears
The doctor just confirmed her fears
Her husband held it in and held her tight
Cancer don’t discriminate or care if you’re just 38
With three kids who need you in their lives
He said, “I know that you’re afraid and I am, too
But you’ll never be alone, I promise you

When you’re weak, I’ll be strong
When you let go, I’ll hold on
When you need to cry, I swear that I’ll be there to dry your eyes
When you feel lost and scared to death,
Like you can’t take one more step
Just take my hand, together we can do it
I’m gonna love you through it.

She made it through the surgery fine
They said they caught it just in time
But they had to take more than they planned
Now it’s forced smiles and baggy shirts
To hide what the cancer took from her
But she just wants to feel like a woman again
She said, “I don’t think I can do this anymore”
He took her in his arms and said “That’s what my love is for”

When you’re weak, I’ll be strong
When you let go, I’ll hold on
When you need to cry, I swear that I’ll be there to dry your eyes
When you feel lost and scared to death,
Like you can’t take one more step
Just take my hand, together we can do it
I’m gonna love you through it.

And when this road gets too long
I’ll be the rock you lean on
Just take my hand, together we can do it
I’m gonna love you through it.
I’m gonna love you through it.

Luke 4:10

“For it is written:

‘He will command His angels concerning you

to guard you carefully;”

Amen!

Thank you, Jesus!!

Mom Brown’s Legacy Lives On…

Standard

This was written by my dear cousin…

To read at the funeral…

To honor her Mother-in-law…

When she passed from this earth…

into the loving arms of our…

Lord Jesus Christ...

7-20-13 Golf course 084

 “My Mother-in law,

who we called Mom Brown,

touched so many,

in so many different and amazing ways,

myself included!

I can relate story after story concerning the generosity,

kindness, spiritual wisdom, and guidance

she bestowed on this fast talking,

hard to understand at times,

Jersey Girl.

But I have selected one powerful,

life changing example

that began over 24 years ago,

just after I married her son.

    She gave me a gift,

the first book of many that followed.

It was a book entitled,

My Utmost for His Highest

by Oswald Chambers.

7-20-13 Golf course 220

It is a daily devotional

that has a month and day at the top of each page,

common to most devotionals on the market today.

However, at this time in my life,

I had never purchased one

and was unfamiliar with its true purpose.

I started reading it daily on July 1, 1989

and when I completed the June 30th reading a year later,

I stored it on my library shelf,

feeling a sense of accomplishment

that I had made my way through a year of these very deep

and complicated writings by a man who lived in the nineteenth century.

A few weeks later, Mom asked me

if I was reading the book she gave me.

I replied,

“Yes, I finished it and placed it on my library shelf for safe keeping.”

I have to admit, her response set me back a bit.

She said, “Oh, no,

you have to keep reading it,

year after year,

and each year it will mean something different to you

and you will understand it better and better,

as the years pass.”

The thought of getting the book off the shelf

and reading it again really didn’t appeal to me.

However, the excitement and enthusiasm in her reply

motivated me to give it a shot.

This book has become one of my most prized possessions.

I carry it on every trip I take,

and read it every day.

And you know what?

Mom Brown was absolutely,

positively right!

Each year it provides more incite into the woman who gave it to me

and her best friend,

Jesus!

7-20-13 Golf course 156

My husband and I started reading it together,

most likely around 1999.

I don’t know why it took me 10 years to start sharing it with him,

but maybe it was because I understood the passages more and more

and realized,

“You don’t keep something so special to yourself!”

We both read it every morning still to this day.

However, because my copy has a broken binding

and many pages are loose and on occasion fall to the floor,

and also because there are so many of my written notes covering the pages;

My husband purchased his own leather bound copy several years ago.

He realized I was never replacing mine.

We have grown so much spiritually, both individually and together as a couple,

thanks to our dear departed Mom

who read this book every day of her life for over 40 years

and lived the scriptures quoted in it to the max!

I have been so blessed to have known her

and to have her influence in my life.”

  Proverbs 1:8

…and do not forsake your mother’s teachings.

They will be a garland to grace your head

and a chain to adorn your neck.

“I always keep extra copies on hand to pass out to others.

I have several with me today

and if anyone would like one of these books,

please take it before you leave.

I would like you to think of it,

not as a gift from me,

but instead a gift from Mom Brown…

so her legacy can live on!

Nicaragua

Standard

Our friends from church,

image

Mike and Janene Harper and their family (Brittany, Bethany, and Nataley)

are in Nicaragua working with

YWAM (Youth With A Mission)

http://www.ywam.org/

for about 10 days.

Many in our church family have helped sponsor and support them

on their last couple of trips.

Our Pastor shared last Sunday

about being the “Salt & Light” of the World…

Now they’re sharing the Light of Christ in Nicaragua.

He asked for prayer for them and the team that is there,

along with the country they’re serving…

Prayer for their safety,

for the people there who do not know Jesus,

and that lives will be forever changed!

Here’s the latest update from the Harper’s

and it’s truly amazing to read.

“Boy, are we beat!

We spent yesterday in the town of Masatepe learning the town.

We began prayer-walks all over the city that we’ll distribute Bibles in.

They’re hard covered whole Bibles,

and the people are so excited we’re coming.

image(1)

The churches were asked to respond, if they wanted to help.

Over 35 churches and 180 people responded!

Amazing!

Today our 4 teams of 12 will start distribution.

My team will be at the construction site

and at the YWAM base, building a home,

and working on updating the base.

This town is Dirambe.

It’s a very poor area,

where the base started its vision in 1996

of getting a Bible into the hands of every Nicaraguan family by 2020.

This first city reached, has seen dramatic changes in crime and violence.

They have become a city with Hope!

 They love Jesus!

And now reach other cities!

I can’t wait to visit this city again.

Kelly, the director, should be there today.

He has been a missionary in Nicaragua

through YWAM for a long time.

We’ve worked with him before,

so it’s nice to know a face there.

The YWAM school we are considering is his school.

It’s a bilingual school.

My husband, Mike, preached last night

for about half an hour

on the importance of relationship with Christ,

and allowing that overflow to pour out to others.

The Nicas “Amend-ed” and agreed!

He had a translator, who is our team leader.

She’s from Spain.

Her name is Gail.

They worked great together.

The church was an Assembly of God.

It was a whopping 1 1/2 hour worship time.

Wow!

We sang,

‘Open The Eyes Of My Heart, Lord’

in English and Spanish

Wow!

How it pleases God’s heart to hear our worship!!

We’re all still well, so far.

We’ve eaten many foods and styles of foods.

It was hard on the tummy at first,

but it’s getting better.

We’ve had an amazing several days.

God’s given the girls great boldness in witnessing.

We’ve been distributing Bibles with churches.

My team has 2 precious Nica ladies.

They helped me lead a family

to Jesus, who

they had never even heard of.

I got to tell them the whole story.

They cried,

and were excited to give their lives to Christ.

When we left,

we saw them reading the Bible already.

Amazing!

Their names were taken down by the local church,

who saw many families already added to their numbers.

The church had new people show up for the Wednesday service to hear more.

The Pastor could not stop thanking us,

and the people in America who sent us.

It put feet to the ministry God started for him.

Some locals and our team ministered at the dump with about 100 children.

I met Eduardo (an 8-year-old boy) there,

and again God allowed my heart to break.

Oh, my heart!

We fed them and played with them.

It was such a day!

I so could have packed him up and kept him.

I could have kept all of them!

Today was distribution and school ministry.

The Principal allowed us to minister to 250-300 kids.

This was a public school!

It was unheard of before.

We went from class to class with the Gospel.

Only God allowed such favor!

We talked to the children about how the world labels us,

and how Jesus cuts those labels off,

and calls us His children!

Each of us spoke.

Brittany gave the Gospel to high schoolers.

What boldness!

Please keep praying.

When I felt very low and overtired,

I prayed,

and God revealed to me

that there are so many lifting us to the Father

right at that moment!

I so needed that.

Thank you for agreeing to do that for us.

We love you

and thank you all for believing in this mission.

Live from Nicaragua (Tuesday PM)

“Today was a very long day for us,

but we saw God do great things.

We had the privilege of teaming up with several local churches

to hand out Bibles door to door.

We told many people the Gospel,

encouraged them to read their shiny, new Bibles,

and laid hands on the sick.

Many gave their lives to God!

In spite of our poor attempts at the Spanish language,

God still used us to do great things!

Later in the day,

we went to one of the city dumps,

where many families live by digging through the garbage for their food and belongings.

One person said it well,

‘It was hard for us to take, but it was well received by them.’

We fed them,

demonstrated God’s love for them,

and made them feel important.

Here, many consider them ‘garbage.’

Yesterday, we helped build a house for a needy family,

did some much needed painting at the YWAM base here in Nicaragua,

and did street ministry.

We are definitely not sitting around wasting time

and, as you can see, neither is God!!

He is answering your prayers,

working in our hearts

and moving in Nicaragua!

He is a great God to say the least!!

Love, Janene and familia”

Please pray for our friends…

For the children and people of Nicaragua…

That Jesus would become real to them!!

Isaiah 52:7

“How beautiful on the mountains

are the feet of those who bring good news,

who proclaim peace,

who bring good tidings,

who proclaim salvation,

who say to Zion,

‘Your God reigns!'”

Amen!

Thursday to Saturday-8 pm

July 11th-13th, July 18th-20th, and July 25th-27th

Yipee!!

I went down on Friday night with my son to see the show a second time…

Hubby stayed home this time ’cause it was too late for him..

I finished a long day of summer cleaning….

Ugh!

Rushed to get ready…

We’re meeting friends there…

He had rehearsal, so I went backstage with my son…

We peeked into the other theater, and saw a dress rehearsal for Les Miserables!

Talked to cast members, watched them putting on makeup, rearranging chairs and stuff…

They got kicked out of the hallway, because it’s a fire hazard to be there…

Since the cast from Les Miserables took over the dressing room!

Then, I went to get my ticket, and chill before the show…

(No complimentary ticket from my son for the second time!  Ha!)

Got to the box office, and said to the nice lady…

“I’d like one ticket please.”

She looked at me so sweetly and said,“Sold out!”

What!?!?!?!?

I thought she was kidding!

“It’s a very good thing,”

She said…

“Of course it is, I understand that, but…

“My son’s in this show!”

I whined…

Gee, doesn’t that mean anything???

The sweet lady at the box office was sympathetic, but helpless to help me…

So I did what any mature person would do…

I sulked!!

I walked backstage to tell my son I wasn’t going to get to see his show…

The director said…

“Do you want to be in the show???”

This is why these people are so funny!!

They say crazy stuff like that!

I was so desperate, I almost said,

“YES!!!”

‘Til my sanity came back…

And I quietly sat down on a couch in the lobby…

And read my Kindle!

I’ve been reading a great book by Pastor Bill Johnson…

Called…

When Heaven Invades Earth

It’s an awesome book…

About having dominion from God to take authority over the enemy…

In all situations…

Knowing we have the authority in Christ Jesus, and then using it!

Amen!

But I just couldn’t concentrate…

I thought…

“Well, I rode an hour and a half with my son to get here….

Cut my summer cleaning time short (okay, that’s pushing it…really!!)

And now I’m going to have to find something else to do in Naples for 2 and a half hours!”

No problem!

It’s a beautiful area…

I have my Kindle…

I have my camera…

I can walk up and down 5th Avenue…

Looking in shops…

Going to Starbucks…

Taking photos…

While mingling with the tourists…

It will be a piece of cake!!

But…

I want to see the show again!!

Woe is me 😦

The box office lady told me to come back at 8 pm…

But, she warned me she had no hopes for me getting a ticket!

So, I shut down the Kindle at 7:30 pm…

Went to the bathroom…

And prayed!!

“Dear Jesus…

Please…

I don’t want anyone to be sick, or have a car accident, or anything…

But, if someone simply could not use their ticket…

I would so appreciate it!!”

I was really in a bad funk!

First, from working all year, so that my house is a total wreck…

And I was cleaning all day to try to make a little dent into the major overhaul it needs…

And now, I’m going to miss my son in this show that makes me laugh so hard…

That I can forget my funk!!

My dejected, sulking mood…

So, I kinda just slowly walked to the box office…

And the lovely box office lady looked up at me…

And whispered…

“See that couple???

They don’t have two tickets…

So they might want to sell one…

I can’t get involved…

But, if you want to talk to them, go ahead!!”

“Yes, Yes, Yes!”

I say…

The wife had gone inside to tell someone, that they’re not coming in to see the show…

The husband says…

“It’s her ticket I have to wait ’til she comes out!”

More praying…

Dear Jesus!!

More waiting…

Then out she comes…

Looks at the dear box office lady…

And says…

“Yea, go ahead, do whatever you want with the ticket!”

Box office lady looks at me…

And I say to the pretty lady…

“Can I buy the ticket from you?”

And the lovely, beautifully dressed lady…

Says, as she and her husband walk away…

“No, just take it!!”

“Thank you, Thank you!”

I say…

Hallelujah!!

And Yippee!!

Praise God!

There ya go, enemy!!!

How’s that for answered prayer!!

And taking dominion over my situation!

Ha!

I proudly…

I mean proudly!!!

Walked to the stage  door up to the ticket collector…

And presented my favor from God!!

When she gave me back my ticket stub…

I practically danced to my seat!

Don’t you just love God for His goodness?!?

The show was amazing!

  I laughed and laughed…

Our friends laughed and laughed…

All the people in the audience…

And the adorable 3rd grade little girl siting next to me…

  Laughed and laughed…

One our friends was called up on stage to do sound effects for whatever the cast was acting out…

Very funny stuff!

Oh, you should go…

I highly recommend it!!

Go see it!!

It’s different every time!

The cast is remarkable…

They play off each other so well!

You’ll love the directors, too!!

But, make sure you go on-line first….

TO GET A TICKET!!!

‘Cause they’re selling out each night!

After the show…

We all went to Fridays for a bite to eat…

They’re truly a “fun” group!

Two of our friends from Sarasota joined us at Fridays…

When we were done eating….

They left shortly before we did…

It was already late, and they had a longer ride home…

After we got on the road, they called…

They had a flat tire and were stuck on the side of highway!

We found them and stopped to help…

But, soon realized that not one of us knew how to change a tire!!

My cop husband says it’s dangerous to do that, anyway…

People get killed…

Our friend’s Dad told her to just leave the car, have us drive her to the next exit, and get off the highway…

So again, I’m praying….

“Lord, please do not allow a creepy person to stop to help us…

Please give us traveling mercies and keep us safe!”

Just then…

A state trooper came up behind us with his flashing lights on…

To ask us if we were having trouble!!

An angel…

He had to check on another car, but would come right back…

TO CHANGE THE TIRE FOR US!!

What?!?!?

 My husband’s a retired cop…

So, of course, we called him and woke him up at 12:30 pm at night…

Only seems right, huh???

But he doesn’t believe us…

Because he’s NEVER EVER heard of a state trooper changing a tire!!!

The trooper had a jack and that air pump thing to inflate the spare tire…

What???

My husband couldn’t believe it!!

This “take-dominion-stuff” really works…

Thank you, Jesus!!

Oh, God, You are good!

It was not an easy job…

The trooper worked long and hard because the tire was in shreds and difficult to get off…

He was oh, so close to the line separating the highway with speeding cars, and the shoulder…

I just felt compelled to pray again…

“Dear God, please keep this trooper safe…

Don’t let him get hit by a car while helping us!”

Actually, in FL, a new law states that you must pull into another lane if you see a a police car with lights flashing…

Awesome, what a great law!!

Our friend got her spare tire out, and the trooper finished the rescue…

He told my son that not too many other troopers are set up to change tires…

Angel in disguise!

He said she should be able to get 150 miles on the spare if she drove 5o miles per hour…

It was already late…

And the girl who drove down with her, had to be at work at 7 am…

So she slept through the whole thing in the back seat!

Well, I slept ’til 11:30 am that morning…

And I feel great!

God is good!

The show was great!

And I’m out of my funk!!

Wait!

Gotta go and check on our friend to see if she got home yet!!

20.  Don’t fret, worry, or wander-stay on the right path, others are following you, as you follow Jesus!

Lost?

Jesus is the Way...

Follow the path to Him!

Oh, Yeah…This Is Good Training For My Son!!

“There’s Always Something…”

Last August, our Crazy Siberian had a very scary seizure!

https://godssceneryandpromises.wordpress.com/2012/08/25/crisis-averted/

Thursday evening she had a second seizure!

We  were all right there when it happened…

I was folding clothes..

She was in my son’s room…

I put his folded clothes away, and shut his bedroom door…

In a few moments, I heard her whimpering…

So I thought, “Oh, I shut the door, and now she wants to come out.”

I went back into my son’s room…

And she’s in the middle of floor, whimpering for no reason…

What’s wrong with her???

She gets up, comes towards me, and collapses…

And starts having a seizure!

We shout for my husband who’s watching TV…

He runs for the ice packs…

Barking his “police officer” commands…

I grab the medicine in the syringe we have ready on the kitchen counter…

Praying, “Jesus, Jesus, please help my precious little girl!”

I prayed hard!!

Thanking God we had the medicine on hand…

And knew to use ice packs to cool her down!

But it was so scary!!

Her eyes were unfocused, she was twitching, and so upset…

In about 20 minutes or so, she came out of it!

Praise God!

She wanted to go outside, where her bowels suddenly gave way…

Like last time when it happened on the tile floor in my dining room…

I cleaned it up that time, while my husband and son took her to the emergency vet clinic…

This time my son cleaned it up!

Like I said, “Good training!”

For when he has kids of his own!

We took her to the vet on Friday…

Her thyroid level is a little low, so she’ll be on medicine…

But, she’s fine, and back to her old crazy self!

Thank God!!

Good training for my son…

To pray and trust God!!

Amen!

And I had just been complaining about her fur all over my house…

Since it’s getting really hot in FL…

She was “blowing her coat” all over my house!!

My husband and son finally shaved her!!

“Little Puffs”

I call those nasty hair balls…

However, after this second seizure…

I certainly changed my tune!

Who cares about the “Puffs!”

I want my precious little girl to be healthy!!

Learn, son…

Learn, what’s important!

Then, two weeks ago…

I was home from work with a bad sinus infection…

My head was so stopped up…

I was breathing through my mouth…

It was about 7 pm…

I had just taken a nice warm shower to try to unclog my nostrils…

I settled down on the couch to watch a little TV with my hubby…

I was so tired…

I thought, “I should just go to bed now…”

When my husband calmly says to me…

“You need to take me to the Emergency Room…”

What?!?!

A retired cop never, never, never says that unless…

It IS an emergency!!

I can’t think, I throw on some clothes…

No time for make-up!!!!

Put a visor on my head…

Don’t want to scare anyone in the ER!

Grab the keys…

And GO!!!

I’m praying all the way!

At this point, I don’t even know what’s wrong with him…

I just know what it could be…

And it makes my stuffy nose seem rather insignificant!

On the way, he tells me his hands are tingling…

That his blood pressure has been way up for several days!!

Men…

Husbands, in particular…

Why?

Why??  Are you so stubborn????

Don’t answer that…

I’m stubborn, too!

Ha!

While I’m racing to the hospital, he’s on phone…

Calling our son…

Who had graduate class 45 minutes away from us…

Telling him how much he loves him…

And what a great kid he is…

And I’m just thinking…

Dear Jesus, what did I complain about today?

Concerning this man???

And what does that matter right now!?

I know I have Jesus on my side, in moments like this…

Who else is there to help me??

So I keep praying…

Holding hands with my husband…

And with Jesus!

Saying, “You’ll be alright!”

Well, we get to the ER, sign in, and WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An hour goes by…I don’t even have my Kindle with me…since we left the house in such a hurry…

I’m NEVER without my Kindle in “waiting” situations!!

I can’t get through “waiting” situations without something to read!

So, hubby tells me to go home, and he’ll call me when it’s time to pick him up…

Since there are seven families ahead of us…

We’ll be there all night, I know…

I’ve been this route with my Mom…

God Bless her, now in Heaven!

And it’s shift changing time at the hospital!

What does he want me to do ?!?!

Is he serious?  How could I do that???

So I say, “No way!

I wouldn’t want you to leave me here!”

We sat there for an hour, only one person was called in…

And my impatient hubby had enough…

He asked the nurse when he was going to be seen…

She said, “Who knows?”

So, he told me he felt better now, and he insisted we leave!

I wanted him to promise to go to the doctor the next day…

But NO!

The next day, he went to WalMart to take his own blood pressure…

Praise God, it was lower by 30 points…

Well, I know there’s no Scripture in the Bible that says,”God takes care of fools…”

But I know God took care of him that night!

Because, I was sitting in that ER…

Silently praying…

And I felt God say, “He’s okay, He’s okay, He’s okay…

You don’t need to worry about this!

I will take care of him!”

Jesus tells me, “I’ll be by your side, whenever you call Me!”

Why are you crying?

Let Me lift up your face!

Why are you still searching?

As if I’m not enough?

To where will you go child?

Tell me where will you run?

To where will you run?

I’ll be by your side wherever you fall…

In the dead of night whenever you call…

Please don’t fight these hands that are holding you…

My hands are holding you…

Look at these hands at My side…

They swallowed the grave on that night…

When I drank the world’s sin…

So I could carry you in…

And give you life…

And I, I love you…

And I want you to know…

That I, I’ll love you…

I’ll never let you go…

Amen!

I believe Jesus has the best for us, so I pray for His best!

I don’t expect the worst to happen…

I expect His Best!

When, “There’s Always Something…”

You Need Someone Who’s Always By Your Side!

Trust!!!!

It’s Good Training for all of us!

Who’s By Your Side?

Rejoice With Me Today!

One of my dear friends just e-mailed me her awesome testimony…

And I want to share it with all of you!

Here’s what she wrote:

“Happy Thanksgiving to one and all…
I want to share my thankful heart with all of you…
And wish you all a day filled with thanks for this holiday season…
The Lord answered our prayers about our roof…
And He asked me if I was going to “give Him the glory” for the great things He had done…
I hope this experience of God’s provision for our family speaks to you…
That He does receive all the “glory” for the miracle of providing the roof money to the exact penny…
Not only that, but He blessed us with grocery money…
That we so desperately needed, as we were completely tapped out…
He is so very good.
Let me share the other side of the story….
While this was all going on with the roof…
My mom was admitted to the hospital with the possibility that her heart had stopped and been restarted…
We found out later it was not that, but a defect in the wiring for her internal defibrillator/pacemaker…
(The product of toxic chemo 10 years ago with lymphoma)…
She had surgery that replaced the internal machine…
And after hours and hours in the waiting room…
We came to see her in recovery…
Another miracle…
My mom is still with us!
Behind the scenes…
I have been going through tests since August for pain in a certain area…
I had multiple doctor visits, tests, ultrasounds, scans, and an MRI…
The tests did not find the source of the pain…
But, the doctor did find a problem on the other side…
That I didn’t even know about, or have pain in…
After weeks of waiting for yet another test to be approved…
Insurance denied me…
1 day before the biopsy…
Another miracle happened when the imaging place called…
And said they would take care of it…
And get it paid one way or another…
I should relax and just do the test!
The day of my biopsy…
Was not a fun day…
It was very painful…
Yet, even though my husband was not allowed to go in with me…
I felt and sensed God’s peace…
His prayer warriors were praying and battling for me…
The doctor told me, the results would be in by this Monday at the latest…
I just received a phone call….
Today….
Early….
Telling me that there is no cancer!
  Every sample was benign!
Thanks be to God for His favor and answered prayer!
Not 10 minutes before the phone call…
I was praying…
And asked God, if this time…
He was going to calm the storm…
Or calm His child….
I was very scared as both parents have gone through cancer…
Each being diagnosed the week of Thanksgiving…
And my grandfather passing away with cancer the week after Thanksgiving…
My joy is here and now…
So is my THANKFULNESS!
As He proves to me again and again…
He is God!
It doesn’t always mean He calms the storm…
In the storm we learn to hold fast to Him…
I am thankful today that He chose to calm the child and calm the storm!
Rejoice with me today!!
We serve a great and mighty God…
Who holds our every breath…
Yours and mine…
Whether He calms your storm, or He calms you…
RUN to Him!
And please don’t forget to always give Him the…
GLORY, HONOR, and PRAISE…
Thank you, Lord, for all you have done..
The glory is all yours!
Forever!”
PSALM 103: 1-6
 Praise the Lord, my soul…
All my inmost being…
Praise His Holy Name!
Praise the Lord, my soul…
And forget not all his benefits…
Who forgives all your sins…
And heals all your diseases…
Who redeems your life from the pit…
And crowns you with love and compassion…
Who satisfies your desires with good things…
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
The Lord works righteousness…
And justice for all the oppressed!”
