Our drama team’s first…
Alive! Worship service…
Was last night…
I had a sermon planned…
But, I wasn’t even sure I would preach…
Because I wanted one of my teens…
To preach a sermon God gave him…
“The Pep Talk”
About the Great Commission…
It was awesome!!
Yesterday morning when I woke up…
I started praying about our service…
“Lord, please send Your Holy Spirit…
To walk through our room…
Minister to all who come…
Have His way in our service…
We welcome Him!!”
Then, God started to talk to me…
So I wrote it all down…
Typed it up…
And brought it with me!
Here’s the sermon the Holy Spirit gave me to preach!!
And, I loved preaching it…
To minister to them…
And to minister to me…
Thank You, Jesus!!
Don’t Drag Jesus Behind You…
Just like the tobymac song,

Holy Spirit, You can steal my show…

That’s what I want Him to do with ALIVE! Worship!!
Jesus is upright and in front…
Within Him is all the power of God Almighty…
Our Savior…
The Truth…
And The Light…
Leading us…
Remember, you’re in His shadow…
Protected in the shadow of His wings…
He’s not in your shadow…
He’s the Center of your life…
Your world revolves around Him…
Don’t drag Him around…
Put Him in the right place and position in your life…
At the Center of it all…
He goes BEFORE you!
You’re not just showing Him off…
Like an accessory…
Like a piece of jewelry you put on…
And take off!
Does He stay home…
When it’s not convenient to have Him with you…
“Jesus, I need you today…
But, tomorrow, I want to go it alone!”
NO!
Be attached to Him…
Where He goes…
You follow…
Be in sync with Him…
He walks…
You walk…
He moves…
You move…
He waits…
You wait…
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are together…
You need ALL of them…
Seek the whole Godhead…
Every moment…
YOU ARE NOTHING ALONE…
APART FROM GOD!!!
Go everywhere with the FULLNESS of the Godhead…
With the Armor of God…
With the Peace of God…
With the Love of God…
Then, you have everything!!
Teach everyone to want all God offers for their lives, too…
That’s why I love working with this drama team…
Doing drama, improv, singing, dancing, serving, outreaching…
Look at the gifts and talents God’s given to these kids and young adults…
To be used in His Kingdom…
For His purposes!
Amen!
Don’t be handicapped…
Christian,
Be made whole…
By knowing, living, and sharing the whole Truth of Christ…
What He’s done for you!!
Place Him in the Center of your life…
He deserves to be there!
REMOVE yourself from the center of your own life!
It’s not your rightful place…
Move over…
For God to take over!
Step aside…
And step BEHIND!
Just follow…
You’re a FOLLOWER of CHRIST!
Move into position!!
Where others can see Christ before they see you!!
It’s never about us!
Oh, we can always make it about us:
“Woe is me…
We complain about the job, we prayed for…
Woe is me…
We complain about the spouse, we prayed for…
Woe is me…
We complain about the children, we prayed for…
It’s always about JESUS!!!
Point everyone to Him!
He saves…
He heals…
He redeems…
Standing in the correct position…
With Jesus right out there in Front of you…
To the world it looks like you’re mighty…
But, then they realize it’s God fighting for you…
Give them the chance to see a BIG God in you!
So they can see that with your God…
You’re a mighty force to reckon with…
This is what they NEED to see…
Because they need that in their lives, too…
Make the devil take notice, too!!
Being a Christian is NOT a wimpy religion that can’t do battle in this fallen world…
But, a mighty force with our warrior Savior…
Who’s ready and armed for War…
Fighting every battle for us!
Let God do this for you…
And them!
Let God remind you of the position He wants you in…
FOLLOWING CLOSE BEHIND HIM!!!
So close…
That you can feel the Lamb of God’s…
Nail-pierced hands and feet…
Feel His glorious resurrected body…
Feel His awesome Presence…
Hear His Voice!!!
I know my position in Christ…
Do you???
Come…
Fall at His feet…
Let Him pick you up…
To make you whole…
Lovingly, placing you in position…
To stand in confidence behind Him…
To simply follow!!
He goes before you…
You’re triumphant!!
Be a worshiper…
Let everyone see your Lord in all His Glory!!!

Thanks, Cousin!! How awesome is the Holy Spirit?!?! How crazy of us to think we can show-off Jesus, then hide Him!! He’s God…not some trophy we display!! If the Holy Spirit rests on us, Jesus goes BEFORE us, wherever we go!! Of that truth, I’m elated!! Amen!!
