Tom, or “Cousin Tommy Boy!”

As we used to call him…

Was two days older than I…

We celebrated all our Birthdays together for many years as children…

Running and playing with all our siblings, and our other cousins…

He loved trucks…

And his favorite sound was his “truck” sound…

“Gilly-Gilly-Gilly…Vroom!”

A happy, fun, and playful child,

Who grew up to be a Mighty Man of God…

Who loved his family, and cared for my Aunt…

Heaven welcomes you, my precious cousin…

Well done, good and faithful servant…

Rest now…

I know you’re seeing your Jesus face to face!

You’re Home!!

May our Lord bring His Peace to everyone in our family…

We will miss you!

Sometimes, all we have to hold onto…
Is what we know is true of who You are…
So when the heartache hits like a hurricane…
That could never change who You are…
And we trust in who You are!

Even if the healing doesn’t come…
And life falls apart…
And dreams are still undone…

You are God!

You are good!

Forever Faithful One !

Even if the healing…

Lord, we know Your ways are not our ways…
So we set our faith in who You are…
Even though You reign high above us…
You tenderly love us…
We know Your heart…
And we rest in who You are…

You’re still the Great and Mighty One !

We trust You always…
You’re working all things for our good …
We’ll sing Your praise!

“Then Job got up and tore his clothes in grief.

He shaved his head

and threw himself face downward on the ground.

He said, ‘I was born with nothing,

and I will die with nothing.

The Lord gave,

and now He has taken away.

May His Name be praised!’

In spite of everything that had happened,

You are God and we will bless You!
As the Good and Faithful One!

Even if the healing doesn’t come!

We pray for blessings…
We pray for peace…
Comfort for our family, protection while we sleep…
We pray for healing, for prosperity…
We pray for Your Mighty Hand to ease our suffering…
All the while, You hear each spoken need…
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things…

‘Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops…
What if Your healing comes through tears…
What if a thousand sleepless nights…
Are what it takes to know You’re near…
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise…

We pray for wisdom…
Your voice to hear…
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near…
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love…
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough…
All the while, You hear each desperate plea…
And long that we have faith to believe…

When friends betray us…
When darkness seems to win…
We know the pain reminds this heart…
That this is not, this is not our home…

What if my greatest disappointments…
Or the aching of this life…
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy…
And what if trials of this life…
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights…
Are Your mercies in disguise…

“For this world is not our home;

we are looking forward to our City in Heaven,

which is yet to come.”

Hebrews 13:14

“But our citizenship is in Heaven.

And we eagerly await a Savior from there,

the Lord Jesus Christ,

My Simple Everyday Prayer…

Pulled in a thousand different ways…

At a loss for words to explain…

The need to relax, and rest my brain!

Lord, I come to You for peace…

Make all my cares, and worries cease…

So many opportunities abound…

To share Your Love all around!

Help me know which ones to choose…

(Please make them my passions, desires, talents, and gifts)

Not just my obligations, or “have-to’s!”

Help me stand strong, and not spread my life too thin…

With commitments, and busyness where I can’t win…

Help me to see that You’re in control…

When tempests come, and friends cajole!

To trust Your Word, and Your Voice…

To find the path where I can truly rejoice!!

Where do you want me five years from now?

What will I do to get there, and how?

Help me fulfill Your plan for me…

No matter what obstacles I see!

To be in Your Image I must not fret…

You have never, ever failed me yet!!

Thank you, Lord!

I feel better already!!

Hi! I’m The Crazy Siberian!

This my domain…

I’m in charge here!!

This year has really been quite chaotic!

This is my story and I’m sticking to it!!

“For He will give His angels orders concerning you,

to protect you in all your ways.”

Looks like they made this dining room table just for me to try to hide under!

They had to remove the oriental carpet under it recently,

Because when I was sick, I was messing up too many areas!

Sorry!!

“Fix these words of Mine in your hearts and minds;

tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.

Teach them to your children,

talking about them when you sit at home

and when you walk along the road,

when you lie down and when you get up.”

Deuteronomy 11:18, 19

Hey, you’re not perfect either!!

Yeah, that’s right!

“I will lie down and sleep in peace,

for You alone, O LORD,

make me dwell in safety.”

Psalm 4:8

The Mom usually decorates this table for each holiday!

But, she’s working part-time this year, so…

These Easter decorations have been on this table since before March 31st!!

“By wisdom a house is built,

The Boy is ready for the battle…

I won the Easter-Egg-Cracking War!!

They did not let me eat these!! HUMPH!!!

“Now My eyes will be open [says the Lord] and My ears attentive

But, they do give me carrots!!

“And every day in the temple and at home

I know it’s all about Jesus…He healed me when I was so sick!!

Today…May 2nd…the Mom finally put the Easter decorations away!!

And the Dad and the Boy put the carpet back in place!

All was going well until I had an accident on the Family Room carpet! UGH!

In My Father’s house are many rooms;

if it were not so,

would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

And when I go and prepare a place for you,

I will come again and will take you to Myself,

The Vine and the Branches

“I Am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener.

He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit,

while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes

so that it will be even more fruitful.

You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

Remain in Me, as I also remain in you.

No branch can bear fruit by itself;

it must remain in the vine.

Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.

I Am the vine;

you are the branches.

If you remain in Me and I in you,

you will bear much fruit;

apart from Me you can do nothing.

If you do not remain in me,

you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers;

such branches are picked up,

thrown into the fire and burned.

If you remain in Me and My words remain in you,

ask whatever you wish,

and it will be done for you.

This is to my Father’s Glory,

that you bear much fruit,

showing yourselves to be my disciples.

As the Father has loved Me,

Now remain in My love.

If you keep my commands,

you will remain in My love,

just as I have kept my Father’s commands

and remain in His love.

I have told you this so that My joy

may be in you

My command is this:

Love each other

as I have loved you.

Greater love has no one than this:

to lay down one’s life for one’s friends

You are My friends

if you do what I command

I no longer call you servants,

because a servant does not know his master’s business.

Instead, I have called you friends,

for everything that I learned from My Father

I have made known to you.

You did not choose Me,

but I chose you and appointed you

so that you might go and bear fruit—

fruit that will last—

and so that whatever you ask in My Name the Father will give you.

This is my command:

Love each other.”

Let Him use you!
