When the birds are spackling

And the pool jets can’t tell time,

My Mom wakes up

And is always an hour behind.

My Dad is snoring

And he thinks it’s morning at night,

My snake isn’t sleeping

So he goes a creepin’ to bite,

The house is creaking while we’re sleeping

And in school I’m waiting in line,

For the school’s last bell to chime.

The Yankees rule and the Marlins drool,

And in New Jersey it’s very cool!

Living in Florida is such a breeze,

And if you want you can go eat cheese.

Red ants make you dance.

Like a lobster in your pants!

Fishing’s fun unless you caught none!

And here’s my poem,

Now can I go home?

Original poem by my son who loves cheese, snakes, the Yankees!
