“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life,
and have it to the full.”
John 10:10
“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground;
neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field,
saith the Lord of Hosts.”
Malachi 3:11
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten,
the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm,
My great army which I sent among you.
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied,
and praise the Name of the LORD your God,
that hath dealt wondrously with you:
and My people shall never be ashamed.”
Joel 2:25-26
Grow old together… Don’t quit… Love… Commit… No excuses… Don’t try to justify… Listen to the truth… Even when it feels like life’s falling apart… And it can’t go on anymore… But God is a God who knows how to heal… So just give it up to the Lord…
And He will restore!!
He said, “I promise…” She said, “I do, forever…” But right now if they’re being honest… They don’t know if they’ll stay together… Fast forward to the future… After struggling on their own… They finally figured out they needed…
Jesus in the middle!!
Now, I’m watching God rebuild their home…
The enemy tries to come and divide… Trying to get us to give up the fight… But darkness will always lose out to light… ‘Cause we’ve got the…
Power of Christ on our side!!
Grow old together… Others are praying…
They’ll find a love like yours…
And He will restore!
Like it was before…
You may have strayed off course…
But He will restore!!

The way the sun’s shining, makes this dove seem as if it’s made of clay, like our roof!
But, it’s very real!!
Looking up…I caught these black birds perched on a neighbor’s roof!
They have a great view of the Heavens!
And not a care in the world!
Jesus, if we would just learn to look up, too!
And stay fixated on You…
I know you’d care for us, also!
Amen!
When I look up (fix my eyes on You!)…
I see some amazing things!
I remember all your promises…
I see all Your faithfulness…
Help me in this new year to do just that!
“…fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving, a time to gather with family and friends to specifically thank God for the many blessings we enjoy each and every day. But there are also people who don’t see a lot to be thankful for because of their circumstances: Maybe they’ve lost loved ones, homes or property—possibly even all those things at once. As many people on the East Coast who have been struggling in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy can tell you, it’s a difficult thing to see the good amid difficult circumstances.
My friend Len Deo, executive director of the New Jersey Family Policy Council, spoke with Stuart Shepard recently about this on the latest CitizenLink Report.
Sandy was nothing short of horrific. Residents of New York and New Jersey spent weeks trying to get back to some sense of “normal” afterward. Food and gas were running low, the power was out, trees were uprooted and schedules were awry.
Despite those circumstances, some chose to have an attitude of gratitude for the little things they did have. In fact, Len Deo and his team paraphrased the 23rd Psalm to keep their perspective right. Their version reads:
‘The LORD is my shepherd, and shepherds have it rough right now. He has no place to make me lie down but muddy pastures; He leads me beside troubled waters. He is giving my soul a lot of unusual work. He leads me in the paths of perseverance for a purpose I really don’t see. Yea, I am walking through the aftermath of a hurricane and You are still prodding me; Your rod and Your staff, they are uncomfortable. You have filled my house with my children all day long; You anoint my head with cold showers; my impatience runneth over. Surely the good times went out with the lights, and I will dwell in my dim house for yet another day that feels like forever.’
Of course, we know that’s not what the Psalm really says—but the New Jersey team knows that the Word of God is powerful to provide comfort and solace. The point is simply this: A sense of humor is a gift, and gratitude is a choice that we can always make, regardless of our circumstances. God does not stop being good just because our circumstances become difficult; we can trust Him through everything. And can’t we all be grateful for that?

We, in FL know recovery is a long haul…
We also know that God is faithful!!
It will take time, but folks on the East Coast are resilient!
One of my dear friends just e-mailed me her awesome testimony…
And I want to share it with all of you!
Here’s what she wrote:
“Happy Thanksgiving to one and all…
I want to share my thankful heart with all of you…
And wish you all a day filled with thanks for this holiday season…
The Lord answered our prayers about our roof…
And He asked me if I was going to “give Him the glory” for the great things He had done…
I hope this experience of God’s provision for our family speaks to you…
That He does receive all the “glory” for the miracle of providing the roof money to the exact penny…
Not only that, but He blessed us with grocery money…
That we so desperately needed, as we were completely tapped out…
He is so very good.
Let me share the other side of the story….
While this was all going on with the roof…
My mom was admitted to the hospital with the possibility that her heart had stopped and been restarted…
We found out later it was not that, but a defect in the wiring for her internal defibrillator/pacemaker…
(The product of toxic chemo 10 years ago with lymphoma)…
She had surgery that replaced the internal machine…
And after hours and hours in the waiting room…
We came to see her in recovery…
Another miracle…
My mom is still with us!
Behind the scenes…
I have been going through tests since August for pain in a certain area…
I had multiple doctor visits, tests, ultrasounds, scans, and an MRI…
The tests did not find the source of the pain…
But, the doctor did find a problem on the other side…
That I didn’t even know about, or have pain in…
After weeks of waiting for yet another test to be approved…
Insurance denied me…
1 day before the biopsy…
Another miracle happened when the imaging place called…
And said they would take care of it…
And get it paid one way or another…
I should relax and just do the test!
The day of my biopsy…
Was not a fun day…
It was very painful…
Yet, even though my husband was not allowed to go in with me…
I felt and sensed God’s peace…
His prayer warriors were praying and battling for me…
The doctor told me, the results would be in by this Monday at the latest…
I just received a phone call….
Today….
Early….
Telling me that there is no cancer!
Every sample was benign!
Thanks be to God for His favor and answered prayer!
Not 10 minutes before the phone call…
I was praying…
And asked God, if this time…
He was going to calm the storm…
Or calm His child….
I was very scared as both parents have gone through cancer…
Each being diagnosed the week of Thanksgiving…
And my grandfather passing away with cancer the week after Thanksgiving…
My joy is here and now…
So is my THANKFULNESS!
As He proves to me again and again…
He is God!
It doesn’t always mean He calms the storm…
In the storm we learn to hold fast to Him…
I am thankful today that He chose to calm the child and calm the storm!
Rejoice with me today!!
We serve a great and mighty God…
Who holds our every breath…
Yours and mine…
Whether He calms your storm, or He calms you…
RUN to Him!
And please don’t forget to always give Him the…
GLORY, HONOR, and PRAISE…
Thank you, Lord, for all you have done..
The glory is all yours!
Forever!”
PSALM 103: 1-6
“Praise the Lord, my soul…
All my inmost being…
Praise His Holy Name!
Praise the Lord, my soul…
And forget not all his benefits…
Who forgives all your sins… And heals all your diseases… Who redeems your life from the pit… And crowns you with love and compassion… Who satisfies your desires with good things… So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
