What’s Wrong With Seeing With My Own Eyes ???
Isaiah 5:21
“Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight.”
Proverbs 23:26
“My son, give Me your heart
and let your eyes delight in My ways,”
What Does God See Through His Eyes???
Job 28:24
“…for He views the ends of the earth
and sees everything under the heavens.”
Job 34:21
“His eyes are on the ways of mortals;
He sees their every step.”
Psalm 33:13-15
“From Heaven the Lord looks down
and sees all mankind;
from His dwelling place He watches
all who live on earth—
He who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.”
Matthew 6:4-6
“…so that your giving may be in secret.
Then your Father,
who sees what is done in secret,
will reward you.”
2 Chronicles 16:9
“For the eyes of the Lord
range throughout the earth
to strengthen those whose hearts
are fully committed to Him…”
How Does God See Us Through His Eyes???
Zechariah 2:8
“For this is what the Lord Almighty says:
‘After the Glorious One has sent me
against the nations that have plundered you—
for whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye—'”
Psalm 33:18
“But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him,
on those whose hope is in His unfailing love,”
Mark 8:18
“Do you have eyes but fail to see,
and ears but fail to hear?
And don’t you remember?”
Matthew 6: 22-23
“The eye is the lamp of the body.
If your eyes are healthy,
your whole body will be full of light.
But if your eyes are unhealthy,
your whole body will be full of darkness.
If then the light within you is darkness,
how great is that darkness!”
Looked down from a broken sky Traced out by the city lights My world from a mile high Best seat in the house tonight
Touched down on the cold black tar Hold on for the sudden stop Breathe in the familiar shock Of confusion and chaos
All those people going somewhere Why have I never cared?
Give me Your eyes for just one second Give me Your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me Your love for humanity
Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted The ones that are far beyond my reach Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten Give me Your eyes so I can see
Step out on a busy street See a girl and our eyes meet Does her best to smile at me To hide what’s underneath
There’s a man just to her right Black suit and a bright red tie Too ashamed to tell his wife He’s out of work, he’s buying time
All those people going somewhere Why have I never cared?
Give me Your eyes for just one second Give me Your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me Your love for humanity
Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted The ones that are far beyond my reach Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten Give me Your eyes so I can see
I’ve been there a million times A couple of million eyes just moving passed me by I swear I never thought that I was wrong
Well, I want a second glance So give me a second chance To see the way You see the people all alone
What Does It Mean To Have God’s Eyes???
Matthew 7:1-5
“Do not judge,
or you too will be judged.
For in the same way you judge others,
you will be judged,
and with the measure you use,
it will be measured to you.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye
and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother,
‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’
when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye,
and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
Psalm 19:8
“The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.”
Matthew 13:13-16
“This is why I speak to them in parables:
‘Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’
But blessed are your eyes because they see
and your ears because they hear.”
When You Pray…
“Lord, Give Me Your Eyes!!”
Be Prepared To See What You’re Missing…
To Really See What God Sees!!
Are You Ready???
“Yes, Lord…
I don’t want to see…
With my eyes…
They see nothing beyond myself in the mirror…
With my heart…
It feels nothing beyond my own little safe world…
My arms…
They touch nothing for eternity…
And only reach for pleasures in this life…
I NEED…
Your Eyes, Lord…
They see lost and hurting people everywhere…
Direct me to them…
So I can minister through Your Holy Spirit!
Your Heart, Lord…
Which feels deep love for everyone of Your children…
You’re picking up toys on the living room floor for the 15th time today Matching up socks and sweeping up lost Cheerios that got away You put a baby on your hip and color on your lips and head out the door And while I may not know you I bet I know you Wonder sometimes does it matter at all Well let me remind you it all matters just as long as you
Do everything you do to the glory of the One who made you ‘Cause He made you to do Every little thing that you do to bring a smile to His face And tell the story of Grace With every move that you make And every little thing you do
Maybe you’re that guy with the suit and tie Maybe your shirt says your name You may be hooking up mergers, cooking up burgers But at the end of the day
Little stuff, big stuff, in between stuff God sees it all the same And while I may not know you I bet I know you Wonder sometimes does it matter at all Well let me remind you it all matters just as long as you do
Everything you do to the glory of the One who made you ‘Cause He made you To do every little thing that you do to bring a smile to His face And tell the story of Grace with every move that you make And every little thing that you do
Well, maybe you’re sitting in math class Maybe on a mission in the Congo Maybe you’re working at the office Singing along with the radio Maybe you’re dining at a five star Or feeding orphans in Myanmar Anywhere and everywhere you are Whatever you do it all matters So do what you do and don’t ever forget to do
Everything you do to the glory of the One who made you ‘Cause He made you to do Every little thing that you do to bring a smile to His face And tell the story of Grace as you do Everything you do to the glory of the One who made you ‘Cause He made you to do Every little thing that you do to bring a smile to His face And tell the story of Grace with every move that you make And every little thing that you do Every little thing you do

John 19:35
“The man who saw it
has given testimony,
and his testimony is true.
He knows that he tells the truth,
and he testifies so that you also may believe.”
The gates and doors were barred And all the windows fastened down I spent the night in sleeplessness And rose at every sound Half in hopeless sorrow And half in fear the day Would find the soldiers breakin’ through To drag us all away
And just before the sunrise I heard something at the wall The gate began to rattle And a voice began to call I hurried to the window Looked down into the street Expecting swords and torches And the sound of soldiers’ feet
But there was no one there but Mary So I went down to let her in John stood there beside me As she told me where she’d been She said they might have moved Him in the night And none of us knows where The stone’s been rolled away And now His body isn’t there
We both ran toward the garden Then John ran on ahead We found the stone and empty tomb Just the way that Mary said But the winding sheet they wrapped Him in Was just an empty shell And how or where they’d taken Him Was more than I could tell
Oh, something strange had happened there Just what I did not know John believed a miracle But I just turned to go Circumstance and speculation Couldn’t lift me very high ‘Cause I’d seen them crucify Him Then I saw Him die
Back inside the house again The guilt and anguish came Everything I’d promised Him Just added to my shame When at last it came to choices I denied I knew His Name And even if He was Alive It wouldn’t be the same
But, suddenly the air was filled With a strange and sweet perfume Light that came from everywhere Drove the shadows from the room And Jesus stood before me With His arms held open wide And I fell down on my knees And I just clung to Him and cried
Then He raised me to my feet And as I looked into His eyes The love was shining out from Him Like sunlight from the skies Guilt in my confusion Disappeared in sweet release And every fear I’d ever had Just melted into peace
He’s Alive! Yes, He’s Alive! Yes, He’s Alive, and I’m forgiven Heaven’s gates are open wide He’s Alive! Yes, He’s Alive! Oh ,He’s Alive, and I’m forgiven Heaven’s gates are open wide He’s Alive! Yes, He’s Alive! Hallelujah!! He’s Alive! He’s Alive, and I’m forgiven Heaven’s gates are open wide He’s Alive! He’s Alive! He’s Alive! I believe it!! He’s Alive! Sweet Jesus!!
John 20:19
“On the evening of that first day of the week,
when the disciples were together,
with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,
Jesus came
and stood among them and said,
‘Peace be with you!’
After He said this,
He showed them His hands and side.
The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.”
Acts 1:8-11
“But you will receive power
when the Holy Spirit comes on you;
and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth.
After He said this,
He was taken up before their very eyes,
and a cloud hid Him from their sight.
They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going,
when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
‘Men of Galilee,’
they said,
‘why do you stand here looking into the sky?
This same Jesus,
who has been taken from you into Heaven,
will come back
in the same way you have seen Him go into Heaven.’”
